VIP VoIP iPhone App: Troubleshooting Guide for Common Issues

Having trouble with your VIP VoIP Companion App on iPhone? Whether you’re experiencing connection issues, missing notifications or call failures, we’ve got a handy troubleshooting guide to help you get back to seamless communication.

Quick Fix: Built-in Troubleshooter

The VIP VoIP app includes a built-in tool to diagnose common issues:

  1. Open the app and tap the Menu icon.
  2. Select Test Connection.
  3. Check for all tests passed or failed tests.
  4. If any test fails, review your device settings and app permissions.

Ensure App Permissions Are Set Correctly

For the best experience, make sure your app has the right privileges:

  1. Go to Settings > Apps > VIP VoIP Companion App.
  2. Enable Microphone, Mobile Data and Background App Refresh.
  3. In Notifications, turn on Allow Notifications and set your preferred alert style.

Fix Push Notification Issues

If you’re missing call alerts, follow these steps:

  1. Check the Device Report in your PBX extension settings.
  2. Look for Green banners (no issues) or Pink banners (errors).

  3. Enable Offline Divert Number to forward calls when the app is unreachable.
