Speed dial is the function that allows a user to place a call by pressing a reduced number of keys.

On the VIP VoIP phone system, speed dials control various aspects of the phone system.

Most often speed dials are set for users to allow them to log in and out of queues.

Speed dial can also be used on our system to set up call diverts.

Here’s how it works:

First and foremost, the extension should be marked as ‘an operator’ or the function won’t work.

Once that step is out of the way, set up the call diversion.

The code to switch on a divert is *32<destination number>. In this case, the extension to which calls would be diverted is 296. A call divert can also be set to a mobile number.

The code to switch it off is just *32

. .

The user must press the “send” key after dialing these codes. That’s it. It’s as simple as that.
